aubrey + scott {part 2}

these two amazing human beings got married back in January and you’ve already seen part 1. this is part 2 ~ the celebration part!

the day of their reception was a little messy. it had rained a ton the night before and was supposed to rain most of the day and evening. the ground was already pretty wet and their reception was being held at scott’s house — yes, you guessed it…outside. luckily (and super smart on their part), they had put up a huge white tent a couple days before so all was good! and to make things even more perfect, the rain stopped just a couple of hours before the reception was supposed to start. even though it stopped for the most part, a few showers came through periodically through the evening which gave us a beautiful sky to work with so cheers to the weather in the midwest! we soooooo had your number that day!

and the ring bearers…well wait until you see them! during the ceremony in January, one of them obviously wasn’t super fond of having his picture taken. i don’t think he realized that i happen to have two little guys of my own so i’m all good in that department. and if you are having kids at your reception, there is nothing better for them than wide open spaces to run. the kiddos at this reception were the happiest kids i’ve ever seen at a wedding reception!

this reception was full of details ~ primarily put together by both of their moms and aubrey’s sister. they did have some help with the dessert table from sugar jar bakery (if you are near springfield, go there now, seriously yummy stuff)!! wait until you see! the reception also was full of super cool people ~ led by the bride herself! aubrey changed out of her formal dress for something a little more fun ~ because playing air guitar would have been much more difficult in her formal wedding dress!

i’m so, so, so excited about these images! aubrey and scott are just awesome people. i’m so happy they found me and i’m so excited for them. aubrey and scott ~ congratulations! i wish nothing but the absolute very best for both of you! i hope you all had so much fun on your honeymoon!!
